Where Canton Trees works

Nine places around Canton. Find yours below.

Canton

The center of our area. About 77% of Canton homes were built before 1970, so older trees and older houses go together. Ridgewood Historic District, Nimishillen Creek, and Esmont Park are all in town.

North Canton

“The Dogwood City,” just north of Canton. The median home was built in 1971. Walsh University and the Hoover Historical Center are here.

Massillon

West of Canton on the Tuscarawas River. The median home was built in 1957. Massillon has a city Tree Removal Program for some right-of-way trees, so ask the city if yours qualifies.

Jackson Township

Northwest of Canton, bordering North Canton and Massillon. Only about a quarter of homes here were built before 1970. Jackson Bog is in the township.

Plain Township

North and northeast of Canton, with Meyers Lake and part of Canton inside it. Under half the homes were built before 1970.

Perry Township

West of Canton, with Sippo Lake Park, and most of Massillon sits inside it. About 60% of homes were built before 1970.

Perry Heights

In Perry Township, about five miles west of Canton. The median home was built in 1964, and Sippo Lake is close by.

Louisville

Northeast of Canton, a Tree City USA community. The median home was built in 1973.

East Canton

A small village east of Canton.
